Abstract
The k-space structure and symmetry of the superconducting gap arising from an interlayer tunneling mechanism are discussed. The details of the k dependence of the amplitude of the gap is essentially determined by the k dependence of the interlayer coupling. The symmetry of the gap is, however, completely determined by the symmetry structure of the intralayer part of the pairing kernel. Keywords
