Abstract
Alkaline and acid phosphatase activity was measured in the ejaculate of normo-, oligo- and azoospermic males. Due to the considerable scattering, no correlation was found between sperm density and enzyme activity. Phosphatase activities were very similar in the fertile and infertile groups. Phosphatase activity measurements are not recommended in clinical practice.
