Organs Transplantation in Pig with Different Portal and Caval Venous Drainage

Abstract
Liver, heart, kidney allografts in pig with different venous caval and portal drainage have been performed by the authors. Immunological response was different in relation to the transplanted organ and to the venous drainage. Organ allografts with portal venous drainage showed a more prolonged tolerance in comparison with controls. They suggested that the particular behavior of organs transplants in pig may be referred to the unusual lymphatic system quite different from any other animal.
