Abstract
A clinical method of recording gait patterns in patients with hemiplegia is described. The method is directed towards obtaining an objective assessment for research purposes primarily but could also be readily used clinically. The basis of the method is a pathway from which measurements of the temporal and distance factors of gait can be obtained. The data is processed to produce a comprehensive set of results are illustrated and explained. Possible system improvements and applications are discussed.
