Abstract
N-Ethynylpyrrole can be obtained in good overall yields by reacting pyrrole with potassium tert-butoxide and trichloroethene in tetrahydrofuran, and subsequently dechlorinating the adduct with methyllithium or n-butyllithium in diethyl ether.Keywords
