Abstract
Some properties of contact printing in amorphous (Gd, Tb,Dy) ‐Fe alloy films were studied, that is, the amorphous alloy film with the perpendicular easy axis of magnetization was placed in contact with the conventional tape or card and the contact‐printed pattern thus obtained was observed by means of the magneto‐optical polar Kerr effect. The contact‐printed domain pattern had a very high image contrast and was influenced by both the thickness and the saturation field of the amorphous film. The Dy‐Fe film had a very low Curie temperature and thus could be used for contact printing by means of the thermal transfer as in the case of CrO2 tape. This publication has 9 references indexed in Scilit:
