Abstract
The nonlinear evolution and saturation of parametrically excited lower‐hybrid waves are studied numerically by solving the corresponding weak‐turbulence wave kinetic equation. It is found that nonlinear electron and ion Landau damping provide effective saturation mechanisms only for pump powers close to the threshold value. Keywords
