Abstract
When nephrectomized and non-nephrectomized eviscerated rats were given fructose soln. intravenously (the nephrectomized groups also glucose to maintain life), the non-nephrectomized rats destroyed fructose the more rapidly and showed elevations of glucose and lactic acid in the blood not observed in the nephrectomized groups. Subsequent inj. of small doses of insulin in the non-nephrectomized rats caused a decrease in. the blood lactic acid level. This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
