Abstract
The directional correlation between the 1459-kev beta group and the 345-kev gamma ray of has been measured as a function of beta energy at energies above 800 kev. The experimental results show good agreement, at high energies, with the theoretical correlation for a first forbidden beta transition with . The influence of the relative size of the matrix elements on the shape of the beta spectrum is discussed.
