Abstract
The indirect Coombs test and the test of trypsin-treated red cells are the most sensitive for detection of red-cell antibodies in blood serum. The different characteristics of antibodies and the relative variation of their respective antigens in the population are helpful in determining the specific type of antibody causing transfusion reactions. The modified tube-test is the most efficient for doing routine transfusion crossmatching. Keywords
