Thermal decomposition of oxysulphur salts and the infrared spectra of their products

Abstract
The decompositions of sodium thiosulphate, dithionite, pyrosulphite, dithionate, hydrogen sulphate, tetrathionate, and of potassium persulphate were studied thermogravimetrically from room temperature to 800°. The products were isolated by heating samples to constant weight at their decomposition temperatures and were investigated by i.r. studies on their Nujol mulls.
