Inheritance and Strain Distribution of a Rat Immunoglobulin Allotype

Abstract
The inheritance and strain distribution of RI-1, a rat immunoglobulin allotype, was studied by passive hemagglutination. Two alleles, a and b, were shown to segregate as Mendelian co-dominants, and were unlinked to the major rat histocompatibility locus (Ag-B) and three coat color genes (A, C and H).
