Abstract
The absorption spectra of carriers injected into germanium at 302°K, 201°K, and 82°K are given. For clean material these spectra are qualitatively identical with the absorption spectra of free holes at the same temperatures. In some samples studied anomalous spectra were observed. Anomalous spectra were in general observed in samples containing Fe. The anomalies are tentatively identified with trapping effects. Keywords
