Abstract
A cytological study of P. beutenmulleri and P. morsei and comparison with P. brunneri. studied by earlier workers. P. beutenmulleri has an X- autosome fusion which has converted the primitively XO sex chromosome mechanism into a neo-X neo-Y system. The other 2 spp. of the genus have an additional fusion which has given rise to an X1X2Y system. This publication has 3 references indexed in Scilit:
