Abstract
Height, weight, and skin-fold thicknesses at the triceps site were measured on 557 males and females 12–15 years of age. Although the subjects were about the same height as other North American groups of the same sex and age, the males were somewhat heavier. Both means and percentile distributions of skin-fold thickness are presented in order to compare the results with findings of other studies reported in the literature. The relationship between age and menarche on skin-fold thickness of 12- and 13-year-old females was examined as was the difference between skin-fold thickness of the right and left arms and the effect of handedness on this measurement. This publication has 18 references indexed in Scilit:
