Abstract
Leske, M. C. (School of Medicine, SUNY, Stony Brook, NY 11794), F. Ederer and M. Podgor. Estimating Incidence from age-specific prevalence in glaucoma. Am J Epidemiol 1981: 113; 606–13. A simple method is presented to estimate incidence from age-specific prevalence data for diseases that are irreversible and do not affect mortality risk. The application of the model is illustrated with data on primary open angle glaucoma. Keywords
