Abstract
We report a study of the reaction at 3.54 BeV/c. We find very good agreement between the angular correlations observed in the decay of the and the predictions by Stodolsky and Sakurai based on a single--exchange model. The reaction has been found to display similar angular correlations, in agreement with the single--exchange mechanism. But we want to point out that the measured cross sections of both reactions decrease rapidly with increasing incident momentum, in contradiction with the results derived from a simple--exchange model as used, for example, by Jackson and Pilkuhn.
