Abstract
The method of Barrnett and Seligman for histochemical visualization of protein-bound SH groups in tissue cells has been modified for relative quantitative use. Comparison with the Bennett method of sulfhydryl staining shows that the methods are comparable with respect to localization of sulfhydryl staining. The experimental results reported above indicate that the Barnett-Seligman method will satisfy major requirements for quantitative histochemistry. Keywords
