Comparison between two methods of demonstrating relatedness of emotionality variables in rats.

Abstract
Predicted 4 emotionality variables to be related because it was hypothesized that they were all influenced by fear of novel stimuli. Their relatedness was compared by using within- and between-groups correlations. 18 independent groups of female Sprague-Dawley rats (N = 72) were measured on the emotionality variables. Both the within- and between-groups correlations were all significantly different from 0, indicating the relatedness of the emotionality variables.
