Abstract
Effective relaxation times for the volume viscosity of a corresponding‐states fluid in the dense‐gas region are calculated using low‐frequency volume viscosity data and previously developed estimates of high‐frequency elastic moduli. The times are found to be on the order of 10−13 sec. Keywords
