Abstract
Silica-based planar lightwave circuits (PLCs) are playing key roles in both optical dense wavelength-division multiplexing networks and optical access networks. This paper provides an outline of PLC technology focusing on passive devices such as arrayed waveguide grating multiplexers.Keywords
