Abstract
Pyrethrum concentrates containing various synergists, and lindane were tested on corn and rough rice for the control of stored grain insects. Pyrethrum sprays gave good protection to shucked and shelled corn up to 11-mos. storage- dependent on dosages. Grain dusts proved ineffective when used on small lots of shucked and snapped corn. Under crib storage conditions the grain dust gave good protection over an 11-mo. storage period. Tech. lindane impregnated on crushed corn cobs and used at the rate of 3 g. per cwt. gave complete protection to shucked corn and rough rice over an 11-mo. storage period. Grain dusts proved more effective than sprays for protection of rough rice. This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
