Abstract
A gradational bioseries from Globorotalia miozea (sensu lato) Finlay to Globoroialia inflata (d'Orbigny) is described from strata of Late Taranakian to Early Wanga-nui age in northern Hawke's Bay, New Zealand. Globorotalia inflata is considered to have evolved from Globorotalia miozea in the South Pacific region during late Miocene time, and to have migrated to the Northern Hemisphere in early Pliocene timeKeywords
