Abstract
Postnatal mortality rate of piglets increases in relation to the number of suckled piglets and decreases when piglet birth weight increases. Moreover, it is lower with second parity sows independently of prolificacy. Higher mortality rate observed with first parity sows seems related to lower piglet birth weight. This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
