Abstract
Basal glume rot of wheat caused by Pseudomonas atrofaciens (McCulloch 1920) Stevens, 1925 is recorded in New Zealand for the first time. Characters of several strains of this pathogen are compared with Ps. syringae van Hall, 1902.Keywords
