Abstract
A fundamental limit to the throughput of heavy ions (U235, U238) is shown to exist for a mass spectrograph-type isotope separator. It is due simply to multiple scattering caused by the particulate nature of the ion beam, and does not depend on any plasma instabilities or waves whatever. This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
