Abstract
A new insect light trap is constructed of 20-gauge aluminum, provided with a 15-watt black light fluorescent lamp, weighs only 4 lb. and can be constructed for approximately $15.00. The efficiency of this trap is compared with 2 standard light traps namely the New Jersey mosquito trap and the Minnesota light trap. Its operation is also compared with 10 other types of traps involving various baffle arrangements and fluorescent lamps of various sizes and shapes. Each trap is figured and briefly described.
