Abstract
This 12 year old girl noticed increasing abdominal girth and a 5.4 kg weight loss over 3 or 4 months time, as well as anorexia, spontaneous bruising, and probable yellow sclerae on and off for 2 months. The patient was a junior high school student of middle-European extraction, born and raised in urban Ohio. She had been born at term and had an unremarkable newborn course.Keywords
