Abstract
Your comment (editorial March 2) asks: ‘If chocolate is on the banned list, what else could follow?’ I would have thought the answer is obvious. It is anything and everything. Once you start restricting consumer choice and ‘criminalising’ previously legal activities, you open the floodgates to loony lobbyists and killjoys everywhere to petition their MPs, supermarkets, NHS canteens, local sex shops, and so on, to ban anything that is not in accordance with their own particular lifestyles. Keywords
