Abstract
In white rats doses up to 50 units did not affect growth. The urinary N was not altered after injecting small doses of insulin after fatty diet or during starvation. Insulin increased liver-glycogen during starvation in dogs without altering muscle-glycogen. Insulin hypoglycaemia was accompanied by an increased R. Q. Insulin caused blood-sugar to fall and glycosuria to cease without any change in R. Q. or O2 consumption. This publication has 4 references indexed in Scilit:
