Abstract
The 3d-nf (n = 4, 5, 6) and 4f-5g transitions in He I, appearing in the extra-photographic infrared, have been measured with a wavenumber accuracy better than 0.01 cm-1. Improved level values have been derived for the 4f, 5f, 6f and 5g terms. The experimental values are compared with values calculated from the polarization formula. Keywords
