Abstract
Since cascade compensation of feedback control systems has been first presented, the determination of the lead or lag-lead network has been taught as a trial and error procedure. This correspondence presents a method, based upon the solution of a quadratic equation or a set of parametric curves, which will eliminate this trial and error.
