Abstract
Content analysis of friendship descriptions from university alumni in their late twenties (n = 84) and from students (n = 49) showed few sex differences but several age differences. Alumni were less likely than students to emphasize trust, acceptance, confiding, and respect and were more likely to refer to the individuality of the friend and the importance of ready communication. Keywords
