Effect of Rutin on Recovery Time from Radiation Injury in Rats.

Abstract
All animals were given 2385 r of radiation to one leg (single dose, 200 KV, 15 ma., 1/2 mm. Cu + 1 mm. Al filter, 26 cm. skin target distance). Half were used as controls, and the other half were given rutin, 20 mg. every 3d day, implanted subcut. as a pellet. The time of onset of reaction and the height of reaction were essentially the same for the 2 groups, but the rats treated with rutin recovered more rapidly.
