Abstract
Tin is determined spectrophotometrically as its coloured complex with catechol violet, the complex being separated from excess of catechol violet by chromatography on asbestos or cellulose.Organotin stabiliser is isolated from the foodstuff, separated from inorganic tin by paper chromatography, wet oxidised with sulphuric acid-hydrogen peroxide mixture, and tin determined in the resulting solution.Keywords
