Abstract
Presented is a dc-side current-commutated inverter configuration where the instantaneous currrent limit functions can be readily implemented. The basic system and the operation of the full-voltage and zero-voltage modes are discussed. The operation of the commutation circuit is explained. Finally, the logic requirements for the generation of any desired output voltage waveform are established. Keywords
