Effect of adrenaline and propranolol on the superior mesenteric artery blood flow

Abstract

Adrenaline infusions into the superior mesenteric artery caused a marked increase in superior mesenteric artery blood flow with little change in arterial pressure. This vasodilation was blocked after the intravenous administration of propranolol.
