Abstract
The structure of different types of kinks in a system of commensurability 3 is investigated using a self-consistent numerical method based on the Su-Schrieffer-Heeger Hamiltonian. The variation of the localization of the kinks as a function of the electron-phonon coupling strength is determined and the localization of the electron states associated with the kinks is also discussed. Keywords
