Abstract
Leakage of cerebrospinal fluid from the nose, as a result of trauma or a tumor or occurring without a readily apparent cause, can lead to basilar meningitis if not properly treated. Illustrative cases are described and an outline of treatment is given for cases in which leakage does not stop spontaneously following conservative measures. Keywords
