Abstract
Cystosarcoma phyllodes is usually a non-malignant tumor which the authors believe occurs more often than the literature reports on it indicate. If the tumor is relatively limited in extent and well encapsulated, wide excision is the accepted method of treatment. Simple mastectomy should be performed if the tumor recurs locally after its excision. If there is evidence of malignant transformation, radical mastectomy should be done. Keywords
