Abstract
The output spectrum of an erbium superfluorescent fibre source (SFS) is tailored by replacing the broadband mirror in the conventional double-pass design with a combination of reflective Bragg gratings. Increased bandwidth and a factor of two reduction in coherence length are demonstrated compared to a conventional SFS.Keywords
