Abstract
The superposition method for prediction of axial wall temperature variation, which has been specialized by Siegel, Sparrow, and Hallman, and by Hasegawa and Fujita, is presented in more general form. Operational utility of this form is demonstrated in a turbulent flow example with an alternate description of the basic solution for constant wall-heat flux. Application to gas flow problems with property variation is discussed, and results are presented for sinusoidal heat flux variation. Keywords
