Abstract
The formate oxidizing system of Methanobacillus omelianskii is specific for nicotinamide-adenine dinucleotide and requires ferredoxin, a biological carrier with the lowest known potential. ferredoxin from other obligate anaerobes is active in the reaction studied.Keywords
