Abstract
Monte-Carlo calculations have been carried out to determine how the termolecular ionic recombination coefficient is influenced by inelasticity in the ion-neutral collisions, specifically by the interchange of translational and rotational energy. The effect was found to be slight, indeed negligible for most purposes. Keywords
