Abstract
The attenuation coefficient and coupling loss were measured in single‐mode Ti‐diffused LiNbO3 waveguides with cleaved end faces. Coplanar electrodes increase the attenuation substantially but a dielectric buffer layer can eliminate most of the electrode absorption.Keywords
