Tunable Single Frequency Erbium Doped Fiber Ring Lasers Using Fiber Grating Etalons

Abstract
Single wavelength operation was demonstrated in an erbium doped fiber ring laser consisting of an optical circulator and a Fabry-Perot etalon formed by two identical fiber gratings. Simultaneous operation at two wavelengths has been achieved in a ring laser which incorporates two Fabry-Perot etalons.
