Abstract
THE tuberculin test has recently been given a major A place in the case-finding programs of tuberculosis-control agencies. Its use as a screening method before x-ray examination in groups with a low prevalence of tuberculous infection can result in a reduction not only in x-ray exposure but also in the cost of case finding. The application of the tuberculin test on a mass basis, however, presents several important technical problems. The test must be sensitive, specific and reliable. It should identify almost all the reactors who currently have significant disease, and most of those with an increased likelihood . . .Keywords
