Abstract
Coefficients of self‐diffusion are reported for liquid H2, D2, and H2–D2 mixtures from the melting points to within about 10 °K of the gas–liquid critical points. The data are interpreted with the quasilattice theory for self‐diffusion with corrections for quantum mechanical tunneling. Satisfactory agreement is obtained between the theory and experiment for hydrogen as well as liquid argon. Keywords
