Abstract
Room-temperature measurements of the frequencies of normal modes propagating along the c-direction in LiNbO3 have been carried out by inelastic scattering of neutrons. Altogether eight branches of the phonon dispersion relation, covering a frequency range of up to approximately 10 THz, have been determined. Keywords
