Abstract

We have compared two recently developed techniques for the measurement of low interfacial tensions between two liquid phases : the spinning drop technique and a surface light scattering technique. The agreement between the data obtained from the two techniques is satisfactory for the samples that we have tested (10⁻¹ γ >10⁻³ dyn/cm).
